Oklahoma City, OK (November 11, 2024) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into YMCA of Central Florida with respect to their recent data breach. On May 20, 2024, YMCA detected it was the target of a cybersecurity incident. An unauthorized third party attempted to infiltrate the YMCA’s computer network and access internal department files. Upon detecting the incident, YMCA moved quickly to secure its network environment and launched a thorough investigation. The investigation was performed with the help of independent IT security and forensic investigators to determine the scope and extent of the potential unauthorized access to its systems and any personal information. The investigation determined that the following personal information was accessed: individuals name, mailing address, driver’s license number, date of birth, financial account number, passport number, USCIS number, personal health information and/or Social Security number.
